Cyber Essentials

We are delighted to announce that wi-Q has been awarded the Cyber Essentials Certificate, an important compliance milestone that demonstrates our commitment to cyber security.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government information/data assurance scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ) that allows organisations to adopt the best practices surrounding data security.

This certification means, rest assured, our infrastructure holds the strongest barrier against the vast majority of dangerous cyber attacks.

Benefits include:

  • A reduced cyber threat of 80%
  • Alignment with the most recognised security standard in the UK
  • A birds eye view of security backed up with supervision from the Cyber Essentials scheme

This strengthened protection comes at a time when cyber hacks have proven to be an extraordinary threat for organisations, particularly over the last year, which has seen the adoption of digital services skyrocket.

Graham Cornhill, Founder of wi-Q, said: ‘’We now have a wide perspective of wi-Q’s security defences and are committed to dramatically reducing the risk of cyber threats to our organisation and thus, our customers. It’s also important to note that we will not be stopping here. Processes are already in place to secure a Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate, which involves an external audit and vulnerability scan to ensure complete cyber security verification.’’

With GDPR and data security now being top priorities for all businesses, wi-Q is proud to be in a position where we can best serve and protect our customers.
